Our hiking tips

Hiking at Mt Hündle

Hiking in Allgäu: our tips

The hiking paths of Mt Hündle are incredibly varied. Choose an easy or difficult hike, or follow the premium “Wild Water” hiking trail.

Hiking at Mt Imberg

Hiking in Allgäu: our tips

Whether leisurely walk, adventure hike, or day tour – magnificent views and wonderful panoramas await you in the middle of the Nagelfluhkette Nature Park. Experience nature at its most beautiful. The barrier-free entrance to the modern gondola lift makes it easy to transport prams, wheelchairs, and bikes.

Hiking at Mt Hochgrat

Hiking in Allgäu: our tips

Mt Hochgrat is a popular destination for hiking in spring, summer, and autumn. The best starting point for small or large tours along well-signposted trails is the mountain station of the Hochgratbahn lift. From there, you can hike to the peak, go on the panoramic circular trail, and so much more. The adventure rides on the Hochgratbahn lift – e.g. sunrise or sunset ride, full moon ride, mountain fair – are also highly recommended.

Hiking at Mt Mittag

Hiking in Allgäu: our tips

Whether short walk or long hike – Mt Mittagberg near Immenstadt is versatile and offers a fantastic view over the Hindelang and Oberstdorf mountains. In some places, the view stretches all the way to Mt Zugspitze. On the descent, we recommend the path through Steigbachtobel ravine. At the wooden chapel below the middle station, take the narrow path along the right into the ravine.

Crocus bloom at Mt Hündle

Hiking in Allgäu: our tips

If you have not seen the crocus blossom at Mt Hündle yet, this is the right occasion. When the snow has completely melted in spring, blue and purple wild crocuses form a large, beautiful carpet of flowers. Within approx. 20 minutes you can reach the meadows on foot from the mountain station of the Hündlebahn lift.
