Winter in the Allgäu
The beautiful winter landscape around Oberstaufen attracts both active holidaymakers for skiing or cross-country skiing and those seeking relaxation for a wellness break with winter walks followed by a massage or cosmetic treatment.

Skiing and tobogganing
The ski region Oberstaufen with its ski areas Thalkirchdorf/Hündle, Steibis/Imberg, Hochgrat and Sinswang is popular with beginners and families as well as with sporty skiers, deep snow skiers and freeriders. You can brush up or improve your skiing skills at the various ski schools in the area. Numerous rental stations offer you the equipment you need if you don't want to take your own with you. Those who prefer sledging down into the valley can choose the various toboggan runs in the Imberg and Hochgrat ski resorts.

Cross-Country Skiing
The approximately 70 km of cross-country ski trails in and around Oberstaufen are varied. The cross-country trail in Kalzhofen is not only suitable for beginners, biathlon taster courses with laser rifle are also offered there. Cross-country skiing through the fairytale landscape by floodlight is recommended daily from 5.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. If you prefer to do this sport at altitude, it takes you about 25 minutes to get to the high-altitude cross-country skiing trails at 1,200 to 1,300 m on the Hochhäderich.

Just enjoy
Take advantage of your days off in the winter months for a few moments of relaxation and enjoy the view of the snow-covered countryside from our wellness area or from our sauna. Is there anything better than enjoying the warmth on cold days and to be pampered with massages or cosmetic treatments?

Snowshoeing
A little more leisurely you can discover the snowy, untouched landscape around the hotel on a snowshoe hike through the deep snow. Explore the surroundings with our sports instructors on a guided tour or go hiking on your own. Those who prefer to walk without snowshoes can take a walk on the many cleared and scattered winter hiking trails.

Skitouring
The trend sport of the last winter is once again very popular this winter. On ski tours you can explore the winter landscape of the Allgäu far away from the groomed slopes. The Nagefluhkette and especially the Hochgrat are perfect for experienced ski touring enthusiasts. For beginners and shorter routes, the easy route from the mountain Mittag via the Bärenköpfle to the Steineberg is recommended.
